The Biology Department of Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) offers a variety of courses taught by a dedicated, experienced faculty. The faculty has a variety of specialty training and provides a wide range of courses. Many of our students that register for Biology courses at WCCS do so with the goal of completing a technical certificate, AA, APS, AS degree, or for wishing to transfer credits to a four-year institution. Many of our students take courses such as Microbiology and Human Anatomy and Physiology in preparation of our Nursing degree programs.
Our goal in the Biology Department is to support student learning and provide excellent teaching. We introduce state-of-the-art technology into laboratories and classrooms. Whether you are a non-traditional student balancing school, work and family, returning to school seeking a career change or beginning college for the first time, we offer a variety of course offerings during both day and evening as well as online (with lecture component online and labs on campus).
The Biology faculty takes pride in giving students the best possible experience with their biology studies. Not sure which class to take? Here’s a brief description of the classes.
