FEES:

Complete Test Battery: $50.00 to be paid at WCCS Main Campus Business Office after registering with Adult Ed for the GED Test
Re-Test: $10.00 retest fee per test.
New Certificate: $10.00 for processing new certificate, name changes, and other corrections.
Transcript: $10.00 for issuance of duplicate transcript.

You Must Bring:

  • A valid identification card issued by a Government agency.
     
  • Acceptable forms of identification are:
    • State Issued Driver’s License
    • State Issued Non-Driver’s ID
    • Passport
    • Military ID
    • DYS ID Cards


CONTENTS OF THE GED:

Five Examinations:

  1. Writing/Essay
  2. Science
  3. Social Studies
  4. Reading
  5. Mathematics (50% basic math 30% algebra 20% geometry)


SCORING:

To pass the GED Test in Alabama, a tester must make a minimum standard score of at least 410 on each of the five parts and an average score of not less than 2250 on the entire battery.
