AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIPS

American Legion Post #20 has established two $850.00 scholarships for our institution. To be eligible, students must be residents of Alabama. Sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters of Veteran of World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam will receive first priority. Application may be obtained from the Financial Aid Office at our institution or from the Department Adjutant, The American Legion, P. 0. Box 1069, Montgomery, Al 36192. The application deadline is May 1st each year.

MELSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND

This scholarship will cover tuition and fees for $500 for a student-studying math or science related majors. Scholarship is non-renewable and will be divided for use in Fall and Spring Semesters. The Scholarship Committee will review applications and the one which best meets the criteria of the scholarship will be selected as the recipient.

SENIOR CITIZENS SCHOLARSHIPS

This is a free tuition program for senior citizens.  To qualify, a student must be at least 60 years old, accepted into either the Academic or Technical Division of our institution and taking credit courses.  Please note that this scholarship does not cover any applicable fees.

 

SIMPSON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The money for this fund was donated by the Simpson Foundation. Interest income from this fund is used to award one year tuition and fee scholarships. Recipients are selected by the Financial Aid Director of the college. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship the student must be a resident of Wilcox County. The student must also be a new student and plan to enter a terminal degree program (Associate in Applied Science degree program) in the Academic Division of our institution or a Technical Division program. College/University Transfer programs are not eligible under the Simpson foundation Scholarship. A recipient for the scholarship must maintain an overall "C" average in order to keep the scholarship. A recipient may re-apply for a one year re- newal of the scholarship if he or she has maintained the appropriate GPA. Students wishing to apply for this scholarship should submit an application for the scholarship (available at the Financial Aid Office) with copies of high school and college academic transcripts, a letter of recommendation and an application for admission to the college to the Financial Aid Office.

WALLACE COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Wallace Community College offers scholarships to first-time freshmen who have achieved outstanding academic achievement. The Presidential, Academic, and Technical scholarships are based upon ACT scores and high school GPAs. The Certificate scholarship only has a GPA requirement. See application below for more details.
