Admission Requirements
Minimum admission
standards for the Practical Nursing Program include:
Unconditional
admission to the college.
Receipt of
completed application packet for the Practical Nursing Program
by the following deadline dates:
3 semester
curriculum/ Fall and Spring only June 15th at 12:00 noon for
the Fall semester admission and, November 1st at 12:00 noon
for the Spring semester admission.
4 semester
curriculum/Summer and Fall only April 15th at 12:00 noon for
the Summer semester admission, and June15th at 12:00 noon
for the Fall semester admission.
5 semester
curriculum/Evening Program Admitted Fall semester only
Deadline June 15th at 12:00 noon.
A minimum of
2.50 GPA on the last 24 hours of college courses completed in
a transcripted term.
A minimum of
2.50 high school GPA for students without prior college work (GED
acceptable in lieu of high school transcript).
Eligibility
for English 101 and Math 116 as determined by college policy.
A score of 76
or higher on the COMPASS Reading Examination (or related ACT
Reading Score of 17 or higher).
A score on
the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)
Good standing
with the college.
Meeting the
essential functions required for nursing.
Pass Drug
Screening and Background Check.
Admission to the
Practical Nursing Program is competitive, and the number of
students is limited by the number of faculty and clinical
facilities available.
Meeting minimal requirements does not guarantee
acceptance. |
