Scholarship Guideline
Academic Nursing Scholarships
Criteria for Academic Scholarship
Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN)

Students must be accepted into the LPN program
-
The scholarship will be awarded only to incoming
first time admissions, and will only pay for courses listed in
the nursing curriculum.

Minimum 3.0 college cumulative GPA / 3.5 high
school cumulative GPA
-
ACT composite score of 18/ copy of report must
be submitted along with the application.
-
The student must complete all courses listed in
the LPN curriculum with a minimum grade of C (75%) and maintain
a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
-
Failure of a nursing course results in
forfeiture of the scholarship.
-
Academic Nursing Scholarships will not be
awarded in conjunction with other full tuition and fee
scholarships.

All applicants must apply for federal financial
aid
-
Students must submit the application by the
published deadline date.
-
Academic scholarship covers tuition for 3
semesters.
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN): Generic
Program
-
Student must be accepted into the Generic
Associate Degree Nursing program.
-
The scholarship will be awarded only to incoming
first time admissions and, will only pay for courses listed in
the nursing curriculum.
-
Minimum 3.0 college cumulative GPA / 3.5 high
school cumulative GPA.
-
ACT composite score of 20/copy of report must be
submitted along with application.

The scholarship is renewable a second year
provided the student completes all courses listed in the generic
ADN curriculum, with a minimum grade of C (75%) and, maintain a
minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
-
Failure of a nursing course results in
forfeiture of the scholarship.

Academic Nursing Scholarships will not be
awarded in conjunction with other full tuition and fees
scholarships.

All applicants must apply for federal financial
aid.

Associate Degree Nursing (ADN): Upward
Mobility Program

Student must be an LPN who has been accepted for
admission into the Upward Mobility track of the Associated
Degree Nursing program.

The scholarship will be awarded only to incoming
first time admissions, and will only pay for courses listed in
the nursing curriculum.

Minimum 2.5 cumulative colleges GPA.
-
The student must complete all courses listed in
the mobility curriculum with a minimum grade of C (75%) and a
minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
-
Failure of a nursing course will result in
forfeiture of the scholarship

Career
Ladder Scholarships

Award 1: A WCCS Nursing
Assistant program graduate admitted to the LPN program at WCCS

Award 2: A WCCS LPN Program
graduate admitted to the Mobility program at WCCS.

Students must be accepted into the designated
program (LPN or ADN) for the scholarship to be awarded.

Minimum 2.5 college cumulative GPA for LPN
students entering the upward mobility program.

Minimum 3.0 college cumulative GPA for Nursing
Assistant students entering the LPN program.
-
Must complete all courses listed in the
designated curriculum with a minimum grade of C (75%) and
maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
-
Failure of a nursing course will result in
forfeiture of the scholarship.

Letter of recommendation required from the
Director of the LPN and NAS programs.
-
Academic Nursing Scholarships will not be
awarded in conjunction with other full tuition and fees
scholarships.

Criteria
for Tuition Assistance Scholarship

Student must be accepted into the ADN, LPN, or
NAS program to receive a Tuition Assistance Scholarship.

Student must complete all courses in the
designated curriculum with a minimum grade of C (75%) and
maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
-
Tuition Assistance Scholarship may only be used
to pay for courses listed in the ADN, LPN, and NAS curriculums.
-
Students must demonstrate a documented need, per
FAFSA records.
-
Tuition assistance will not be awarded in
conjunction with other full tuition and fees scholarships
-
Failure of a nursing course results in
forfeiture of this scholarship.

All applicants must apply for federal financial
aid.
-
Student must submit application by the published
deadline date.
-
Tuition assistance scholarships will be awarded
in the amount of 500.00 per semester
(x) 2 for RN and LPN students; and 200.00 (x)
1 semester for Nursing Assistance students.
