43 Wallace Selma Student-Athletes Named to ACCC Spring 2025 Academic Honor Roll

Athletes from Four Sports Honored for Academic Excellence

Selma, AL — Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) proudly announces that 43 student-athletes have been recognized on the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Spring 2025 Academic Honor Roll. To qualify, students must have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA while actively participating in intercollegiate athletics.

The honorees represent six sports programs at WCCS: Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and more, showcasing the College’s holistic commitment to academic success and athletic excellence.

“This level of performance reflects not only individual determination but the culture of support and accountability we’ve built at Wallace Selma,” said Marcus Hannah, Athletic Director. “We’re proud of each of these athletes and what they represent.”

WCCS President Dr. James M. Mitchell added, “These students are leaders on the field and in the classroom. Their success embodies our mission to educate, elevate, and empower.”

Representing Baseball, the following student-athletes were recognized: Rhett Adams, Malachi Bailey, Aaron Burton, Isah Byrd, Bryson Claiborne, Brodie Dennis, Nolan Fairley, Coleman Fuqua, Andrew Howard, Aspen Long, Jackson Mangum, Lane Mauney, Aden Mixon, Conner Mosley, Winston Person, Ethan Plank, Hayden Register, Trent Rowell, Brody Sleeper, Grayson Smith, Sam Swain, Caden Vance, Keegan Whitaker, and Steven White.

From the Women’s Basketball team, honorees include Ta'Myla Allen, Shamya Allison, A'Laysia Dinkins, Laterika Edwards, Jada Griffin, Shelby McAllister, Faith Smith, Jakyler Smith, and Trice Suttle.

Representing Men’s Basketball are Drew Kousaie, Marchello Perkins, and Kemani Wilson.

Student-athletes from Volleyball who achieved this honor include Amber Cockrell, Miracle Jackson, Aniaya Richardson, Laci Segrest, and Addison Vining.

This academic milestone showcases the dedication of WCCS’s athletic department to promoting student success both on and off the field. The College congratulates these remarkable students for their hard work and perseverance.
