Celebrating Our Graduates & Their Achievements
IMPORTANT DEADLINE
✔ RSVP Required:
All graduates must notify their intent to participate by April 24th
CAPS & GOWN (REGALIA)
- All graduates must wear ALL BLACK cap and gown
- Purchase at Barnes & Noble Bookstore (James M. Mitchell Student Services Building)
Questions: (334) 876-9284 - Students may decorate their caps(must be appropriate for the ceremony)
- Students may wear graduation stoles(must be appropriate for the ceremony)
DRESS CODE (REQUIRED)
Business attire is expected under your gown:
- Men: Button-down shirt + tie or bowtie (ties available if needed)
- Men and Women: no jeans
- No street wear sneakers or flip-flops allowed
Women's Graduation Attire Guidelines (Recommended Addition)
- No see‑through dresses
- No revealing or low‑cut dresses
- No excessively short dresses or skirt
CEREMONY TIMES
Academic & Allied Health Programs at 9:00 a.m. Ceremony
Arrival: 8:00 a.m.
James M. Mitchell Student Services Building
Associate in Science, Associate in Arts, Business Administration, Computer Information System, Office Administration, Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Practical Nursing (LPN), Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Dual Enrollment Academic and Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Technical Programs at 12:00 p.m. Ceremony
Arrival: 11:00 a.m.
James M. Mitchell Student Services Building
Cosmetology, Drafting and Design, Welding, Electrical Technology, Office Administration, Masonry, Industrial Maintenance, Modern Manufacturing Production (MMP), Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) and Dual Enrollment Technical Programs
CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS
Report to: James M. Mitchell Student Services Building
Arrive 1 hour before your ceremony
✔ Check in
✔ Receive your Reader’s Card
✔ Line up with your program
CEREMONY DETAILS
Processional
- Line up with college marshals
- Remain standing until instructed to be seated
Crossing the Stage
- Bring your Reader’s Card
- Your name will be announced
- Return to your seat after exiting the stage
TICKETS (each graduate will receive 5 tickets)
- Tickets will be collected at the door. Please note that holding a ticket does not guarantee a seat.
- Doors will open to the general public (without tickets) 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony and will close 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. The ceremony will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
IMPORTANT EXPECTATIONS
- No flowers or balloons allowed in the ceremony
- Graduates should meet family after the ceremony in parking areas for photo
PERSONAL PROPERTY
- Do NOT bring purses, cameras, or cell phones
- The college is not responsible for lost or stolen items
DEGREES/CERTIFICATES
- Available for pickup after the ceremony

LOCATION & PARKING
- Ceremony held in the Gymnasium
- Park in the rear of campus
- Shuttle services available for attendees
- Officers will assist with parking directions
