The mission of Wallace Community College Selma IDEA Center is to serve as a hub to encourage entrepreneurship and small business development and expansion throughout Alabama's Black Belt Region. It is aligned with the College's mission to provide access to diverse high-quality learning centered educational opportunities, workforce training, and services through varied modes of delivery that are responsive to individual, community, state, national, and global needs. 
 

The Center will serve students, faculty, staff, and the community by providing a pathway to develop an idea into a business. The IDEA Center consists of an Entrepreneurship Academy which will include workshops, work-based learning activities, short-term skills training, and summer entrepreneurial camp. It will also consist of a business incubator that will provide one-on-one advising and a Makerspace.
