WCCS Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research (OIER) is the source of comprehensive information regarding Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS). The Office is responsible for compiling and disseminating information to the College's internal and external groups on many aspects of WCCS including Institutional assessment and Strategic Planning. The OIER ensures that annual planning assumptions are developed to provide a framework to guide the development of College goals and objectives. Strategic priorities are then identified in order to focus the direction of the institution's unit, depart-
mental, divisional, and college-wide plans to support institutional improvement and decision making. Through this process, the College's Mission Statement is reviewed annually.
Services Provided by OIER
OIER responds to requests for institutional data that come from appropriate parties both internal and external to the College. In addition to being responsible for WCCS's course evaluation program, the OIER monitors consumer satisfaction through graduate and new student surveys, and track student enrollment and demographics, student credit hours, degrees awarded, and faculty and staff characteristics. Providing consumer information is pivotal to our role of keeping the public informed through our annual FACT Book and President's Report.
